Introduction
The Transitio Group has a very strict thematic concept: The conflict of Good and Evil, and in relation to that, the topic of life and death. In general, the structure is reflecting that of a classic five-act drama.
'Phorkyas', a name occuring in category 2.2, is a reference to Goethe's "Faust II": Mephistopheles, the devil, disguises himself as Phorkyas, a female character from Greek Mythology. Inspite of that I refer to Phorkyas as a male character, as she is just a mask Mephisto has put on.
As the topic allows it, at the center of the group (category 2.3) are three quite religious poems. The next, fourth, category depicts death, the final, resurrection.
