Phil John Kneis:
MUTATIO - VISIONS III:
WAKING HOUR
Stockholm, December 11th, 1998 - P#88
I. While all seems calm and silent so, The dreams of time just quietly flow And yearn for silence and retreat, The time is now to feel the heat Behind this slowly turning screw, - Behind what once to Earth just flew.
II. The Earth stays still and calm just now, The pace of time an easy flow, Just regular, with no parade, It just goes on, it just won't wait, It quietly goes, not making noise, Revealing all those Earthly toys.
III. What weight now falls just down from us! We now escape all worldly buzz, Turn 'round us now, will start to sleep - In dreams we fall, in dreams down deep - Will hear no sounds and gain no sight, Can't differ now the dark from light.
IV. No work will now be done, this time, This time, we will not earn a dime - Just turn it off, this outer part, May come whatever now may start, We are asleep - don't wake us now, We wouldn't anyway know how.
V. Asleep we are - asleep we stay, May come what ever terror may - As long as we are warm and dry, We will not care - not even try. What's set in motion, will go on, The task is just, to turn it on.
VI. With dreams we fill our mind so fast, They govern all of us so vast, They quickly limit our deeds But will not therefore fill our needs - At waking hour, will we know What thing to do, what place to go?
